Schrödinger's Cat Part 2

You don't have to know too much about the switch, except that after you flip it on, you have set off a chain of events that will eventually release poison gas inside the box with the cat in it. It is a quantum switch because it has this property: It is impossible to know, due to the nature of reality itself, the exact time T that the poison will be released. You can only know the probability that at some time T, the gas will be released.

How is this possible? Can such a switch be made? Yes, because you can have a quantum event as part of the chain of events, and quantum events obey laws of probability. I accept this verdict of Quantum Theory, that there are no "hidden" factors or variables that will let us determine the exact time T, and we will proceed from there.
