Gravity Part 15

This means that the so-called "artificial gravity" from rotating space stations is NOT artificial. It is real. A person on the inside of a rotating cylinder is "sticking" to the inside because an objects wants to go in a straight line, for the same reason an object an apple wants to fall from a tree.

The equation of motion in Einstein's gravity theory (General Relativity) predicts that an object floating in space in a space station (called an Inertial Reference Frame) wants to either keep going in a straight line of constant speed or, if not moving, wants to stay not moving.

Therefore, as the curved cylinder forces you to be on a CURVE in space, equal to the curvature of the cylindrical floor, you RESIST this change and want to keep going straight, thereby making you STICK to the floor.

"Mass" or inertia and "weight" follow from the same gravity interaction: An object resists not obeying Einstein's equation of motion, otherwise called his Geodesic Field equation.
